GraceWay Progress

Good Morning! God is an awesome God- His hand of protection, power, and provision is incredible!

We praise the Lord for GraceWay's progress and development in our 6th week of ministry. Over 60 people have experienced the GraceWay, and we are confident each life has been touched by the Holy Spirit.

Our worship is anointed, the preaching is relevant, and our people are loving, friendly, and welcoming.

This weekend will be a special Mother's Day message; I will be sharing The Power of Momma. Make plans now to worship with us at 10:00 am at Custom Catering, and even come a little early for HeBrews Coffee and some great fellowship.

There is no power like His, no love greater than His, and no experience like being a Believer! Jesus loves us with an endless love and we celebrate that at the GraceWay!

Invite your friends and family; share our good news as together we Build Better Lives through the Power of Jesus Christ at GraceWay.

Living Victoriously at Work

Do you ever get sick of working with negative people?  Have you grown weary of dealing with workplace issues that are depressing and exhausting? If those kinds of people make you ill, His Word can heal you!

Did you know that the Word of God has the answer to a great work life?

We can’t change other people – we can only change ourselves in how we react. That change comes from our power to change the way we think and act in alliance with the Word of God! Humanly impossible, but absolutely possible with God!

How do we behave in a Christ-like manner
when we want to knock someone’s head off?

The truth is that we are not going to like everyone’s behavior or personality, but we must behave in Christ-likeness to bring Him honor.  If our feelings toward a person are hateful or disrespectfully, we can get rid of those toxic emotions by doing something proactive about it!

Jesus can lift that heaviness and give you such an incredible release, you’ll feel like a brand new person if you activate His Word in you!

Biblical Prescription for Loving People You Don’t Like
  • Confess your feelings to the Lord – tell Him all about it.  Share with Him exactly how you feel.
  • Ask Him to forgive that person for frustrating you.
  • Ask Him to bless that person who you dislike.
  • Ask Him to fill your heart with love toward them.
  • Ask Him to exchange your agitation with peace.
  • Ask Him to help you ignore insults.
  • Determine to do what the Word says even if you don’t want to or don’t feel like it.
  • Do something good on purpose.
  • Say something kind about that person.
  • Refuse to speak negatively about that person.
  • Refuse to think negatively about that person.
  • Do not talk about that person even when you have an opportunity to do so—it’s called covering an offense!
  • Tell God you trust Him in this situation.
  • Ask for His blessings and strength to behave correctly.
By activating the Word of God, you will experience the power of it in your life.  You can live a victorious life even at work! Let 1Corthians 13 answer your workplace challenges.

4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. NIV

Until next inspiration!

HighLife -- Going Deeper in Jesus

Good Morning Ladies!  I am excited to announce our new community women's bible study begins next Thursday evening.

HighLife – Going Deeper in Jesus

Mark Your Calendars for:
Thursday,  April 8th from 7:00 - 8:00 pm
in my home at Pepper’s Ferry Village behind NRV Mall.

Please RSVP or Call me for more information!

Proverb 2 Inspiration

Proverbs 2:11 Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you..
What phenomenal promises are found in Proverbs 2:11. It says we are
protected -- kept safe from things that could bruise our hearts. Think about
the confusion, darkness, and drama that tries to enter into our lives. If
we react in discretion, exercise good judgment, caution, and care -- those
events cannot disrupt our peace and protection.

We have the power through the Word to be protected from those things that
are meant to hurt us!

The guardianship we receive in being discrete covers; it doesn't expose; it
loves and does no harm; it doesn't stir up, it brings peace. As we live the
Word, the blessings of the Lord will become evident in our lives. Oh the
joy, peace, and contentment that is ours when we choose to be discrete and
use understanding.

Until next inspiration! I love you and pray your lives will be blessed
through the Word's inspiration.

Overwhelmed by God's Goodness

Stepping out in faith with Eddie to begin a new ministry in Blacksburg is one of the most exciting and scariest things that has ever happen to me! I keep hearing ' trust me and I will direct your steps.' So I'm holding on tight with my eyes shut - trusting completely in His goodness and grace. I am so comforted that He never fails!

The Word of God is Our Glorious Life Map

The Word of God is Our glorious Life Map.  Its direction gives us a pathway that leads us through the obstacles in life. The time we invest in the Word brings a great harvest of wisdom, safety, and fulfillment. It is such an incredible comfort to know He will guide our lives if we let Him direct.

As I was studying this morning Proverbs 22, the Holy Spirit gently nudged me to check my ego; and let me say I was not expecting that! Verse four jumped up and would not let me go on reading, “The reward of humility and the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is riches and honor and life.”

The definition of humility shook up this charismatic, Proverbs 31 woman, leader this morning. Humility means having a lowly opinion of self-importance and ability.   That can be a challenge when we have had successes in our lives. For people like me, we have the tendency to think ‘I can do that!’ without evening asking the Lord for His help or direction. Each one of us have incredible talents deposited from God – be careful not to take ownership of His talents in you.

Our life should reflect and acknowledge God doing His work with His talents in us. It’s not doing stuff ourselves and taking the credit for some accomplishment we have gained through using His talents. The scripture says His rewards of humility will be riches, honor, and life. To live opposite of humility can lead to our lives being poor, ashamed, and dead. Yuck!

For me, the humility lesson for today reemphasized just how helpless I need to be and how dependent I am on the Lord. Humility says, I can’t do anything without Him; and the truth is I don’t want too! I want His blessings – His leading- His rewards. Don’t you?
The Lord has done a great job giving us abilities, skills, and talents. If we choose to think it’s our ability that has caused our success – we are delusional. He deserves all the credit, all the praise, all the adoration. Give Him thanks today for the success He has given you.

Check your ego as I did today. He wants our lives to be filled with His rewards!

Until next inspiration, I love you!
Donna
